John is an ordained Evangelical pastor, who for the last 25 years has served as a leader in the pro-life movement as a speaker, author, mentor and co-laborer. Currently, John serves as the President of PassionLife, where he concentrates on helping missionaries and indigenous Christian leaders serving in countries plagued by abortion to equip the church in bioethics and pregnancy crisis intervention services.
Starting in 1991, John led the effort in Boston to establish a network of six ultrasound-equipped pregnancy help centers. In 2006, he joined Heartbeat International and piloted Heartbeat of Miami, a minority-led, ultrasound-equipped, pregnancy help ministry now serving amidst 30 nearby abortion business.
John writes books on things he is most passionate about; the gospel, marriage and prolife ethics. He and his wife, Kristen, have been married for 38 years. They have three grown children, two daughters-in-law and three grand-children. They live in Roswell, GA.

Barbara Deuel, Treasurer
Barbara lives in Marietta, Georgia with her husband, George. She is a mother of two grown, married sons and has two beautiful daughters-in-law. The Lord has blessed Barbara and George with five precious grandchildren. For the past 14 years, Barbara has worked as a part-time bookkeeper for multiple clients. She gives of her time to PassionLife as their bookkeeper and is also Treasurer on the Board. She has been involved in mission work for the past 25 years and has a passion for the “least of these”.
Shawn Deal, Secretary
An adoptive father of two, Shawn believes every child deserves life. He and his wife, Holly, have been married for 22 years, and their children, adopted as babies, are now ages 18 and 20. As owner of a small IT business he began in 2003, Shawn provides computer and network expertise to a large array of local companies. His hobbies are working on cars, watching football, and most of all, enjoying time with family and friends.
Kara Beth Vance
Kara Beth Vance is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ professional serving clients in the Chicago suburbs. She graduated from Wheaton College (IL) with a Bachelor's degree in Economics. While Kara Beth's passion for upholding the value of all human life developed during her college years, it was during a year of overseas service that she saw firsthand the urgent need for training and resources about the value of human life and how to stand for life in situations that require great moral courage.
Peggy Benicke, Life Affirming Specialist serves as Executive Director of Robbinsdale Women’s Center, a pregnancy medical resource center in Minneapolis. in 1995 and has served as Executive Director since 2000. Peggy’s background in business and marketing and her personal experience with crisis pregnancies have enhanced her leadership role at RWC. She gives God all the glory for the many lives saved from abortion and for the amazing growth of RWC. She attended Winona State University, Harper College and received a Certificate in Non-Profit Management from the Graduate School of Management at Hamline University. Peggy and her husband Ralph are parents to Courtney and Ann, and grandparents to Kaleb, Trinity and Jada. She recently reunited with the daughter that she placed for adoption at age 17 and now has an additional five grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
